I have been involved in mediations with very good mediators and with mediators who were less than effective and apparently interested in doing nothing more than hearing the facts and legal arguments and spending a few minutes trying to resolve the matter. By contrast, Richard is one of the finest mediators with whom I have dealt in that he is prepared to take whatever time and expend whatever effort is necessary to truly ensure the resolution of the matter. Although the final resolution of a matter may take a substantial period of time, Richard's fees are quite reasonable and affordable and certainly, at least, as regards our mediation, fully justified. Although Richard was committed to resolution of our matter from the start, he left me with the impression that he was even-handed with all litigants and their counsel. In my experience, it truly takes a skillful mediator to leave the impression that the parties resolved the matter themselves without any "head banging" or "cajoling", no matter how reluctant the litigants and/or their counsel. I would give Richard's services the highest recommendation, and in fact have already done so.
